World Art Day
Every year on April 15
World Art Day is observed
to promote the creation,
dissemination, and
appreciation of art. The
International Association of Art, a
UNESCO partner, established the
day to raise awareness of creative
work around the world.
The International Association of
Art's 17th General Assembly in
Guadalajara, Mexico, established
World Art Day. The date was
chosen in honor of Leonardo da
Vinci's birthday who is regarded
as a symbol of freedom of speech,
multiculturalism, tolerance, and
international peace.
Every year on April 15th, World
Art Day events help to strengthen
the links between artistic creations
and society, raise awareness of
the diversity of artistic expressions,
and recognize artists' contributions
to sustainable development. It's
Art can link
and unify people in a
variety of ways, and it
plays an important role in
facilitating communication
and knowledge exchange
among individuals of
various backgrounds
also an opportunity to highlight
the importance of arts education
in schools since culture helps to
create a more inclusive and equal
educational environment.
