Art and Architecture
So important is the atmosphere generated by a place
that currently architecture and interior design consider
creating environments as one of their highest goals. For
an architect, the environment implies everything that
happens within the space. Where the sun rises or sets,
how heat and cold are distributed, how the horizon line
is perceived or what relationship a certain space has
with the urban context, these are just a few samples of
the aspects that the interior design to create an environment.
The work of the architect is not only to design the
projects but also to suggest how they will be inhabited.
And this includes sharing the space with art.
Within the spatial spectacle that is architecture, art occupies
a leading role, so when an architect knows that
a piece of art is going to be in a certain place, he tries
to make the most of its characteristics with the intention
of achieving a flattering atmosphere for the piece.
In fact, when it is intended to exhibit a piece of art in the
home, it is advisable to request the advice of an interior
designer who establishes a control in the architectural
aspects of the place. The secret to having a work of art
at home lies in considering it more than an aesthetic
object as another inhabitant of the place.
Art coexists with people within the space and, just
like them, it needs dynamic considerations in its habitat.
And it is that we must remember that any group of
objects contains in itself, a series of values that arise as
a result of the bond with the people who own them and
not even the pieces of art are the exception.

culture and what the client wants to express. History shows that
built architectural environments can become extraordinary
by a well thought out art; creating visually stunning
environments to delight and stimulate our senses
and well-being”.
