important issues of international relations, diplomacy, geopolitics,
among others. Hacia Democracy is a yearly conference that recreates
the proceedings of the Organization of American States; it is based at
Harvard University, and it is staffed and administered by Harvard undergraduates.
The TPA Delegates are 10th-11th grade students: Camila
Andrea Rivera, Drew Dillingham, Ambar Quiñones, Isabella Ramos, Nina
National Honor Society & Model UN Beach Clean Up
The Palmas Academy National Honor Society, Junior National Honor Society,
and Model UN held a beach clean-up in Goyines, Palmas del Mar, on
March 12th. This event was well attended by the TPA students, staff, and
other sponsors such as Club Cala, Pennock Farm, and numerous homeowners.
The students and staff had a lot of fun and created many memories
under the rain and breeze, at the beachfront. Nonetheless, approximately
400 pounds of debris, wood, plastic, and more were cleaned up from our
beaches. The Palmas Academy students and staff are greatly appreciated
for taking the time to improve the Palmas del Mar environment.
