54 CEF BUSINESS REPORT 2021
GOVERNANCE 55
Secretariat
The CEF Secretariat, comprised
of the director, staff and experts,
ensures that the responsibilities
are met and our day-to-day
activities are carried out.
CEF CORE VALUES
In our work we follow core values that we have defined together. We are developing coaching
and mentoring culture by seeing the value and taking responsibility for developing ourselves
and supporting capacity development of others.
The 33 CEF team members come from
Albania, Georgia, Germany, North Macedonia,
Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Such an
international and diverse team brings invaluable
experiences to our programming
and work. This also enables us to communicate
with most of the region in their native
languages. In addition, we have nine affiliated
experts and two IMF regional capacity
development advisors and their interpreter,
the latter three working at the CEF.
TRUST
We trust ourselves
and each other
in our goal to
deliver highquality
programs,
support regional
cooperation, and
work effectively with
our partners.
TEAM SPIRIT
We respect, accept
and support each
other in combining
our diverse roles
and capacities.
FOCUS ON RESULTS
We set clear and
measurable goals
with specific
action plans and
efficient use of
resources, while
also considering
staff interests and
capabilities.
OPPORTUNITY
TO GROW
We are committed
to support an
environment
where we grow as
individuals and
team(s).
ACCOUNTABILITY
By aligning
our personal
integrity with clear
organizational
expectations, we
take responsibility
for what we do,
how we do it and
how this affects the
world around us.
As this report shows, we design
and deliver increasingly
complex learning and knowledge
sharing activities that are impactful
not only at the individual but also teams
and institutional level. Our capacity in this
regard has been growing with our readiness
to embrace each other’s unique
strengths and learn from each other, and
from closer engaging a growing number
of experts and knowledge partners in
co-creating our program. Jointly, we assure
better quality, monitor and evaluate
our work, and feed lessons learned into
our future program.
