Association held its annual CEO<br />

Soak at Island H2O Water Park in<br />

Kissimmee. Seven local business and<br />

community leaders got soaked while<br />

raising funds and awareness for<br />

ALS, and Orlando Health sponsored<br />

the event.<br />

The 2022 Florida Ride to Defeat<br />

ALS will take place Oct. 16.<br />

Participants can choose between<br />

a 10-mile, 25-mile,<br />

62-mile or virtual bike<br />

ride.<br />

for the student-athlete of<br />

the year award during the Emerson<br />

College School of Communication<br />

Student Awards, occurring annually<br />

and celebrating the close of an extraordinary<br />

academic year, as well<br />

as recognizing student achievements<br />

within the School of Communication.<br />

Davis, who is majoring in communication<br />

disorders, is a member of<br />

Kiwanis Club of Orlando,<br />

one of Central Florida’s most active<br />

and involved community service organizations,<br />

is raising money for<br />

Dueling Dragons of Orlando.<br />

This unique mentoring program<br />

partners inner-city teens with<br />

Orlando Police Department and<br />

Orange County Sheriff’s Office law<br />

enforcement officers on year-round<br />

dragon boat teams.<br />

The fifth annual Korntoss<br />

Tournament was recently held in<br />

Edgewood in memory of OPD’s Lt.<br />

Debra Clayton. Clayton was a<br />

Dr. Phillips High School alumna,<br />

an active volunteer in the Dueling<br />

Dragons program, and a beloved<br />

mentor to the teens. She was killed<br />

in the line of duty in January 2017.<br />

inner-city youth and local<br />

law enforcement officers for more<br />
