Foundation (OMYF), held<br />

golf tournament, raising<br />

nearly $150,000 to benefit<br />

at-risk local children. With a<br />

scramble format, the event<br />

was held at Omni Orlando<br />

Resort at ChampionsGate.<br />

The annual day on the<br />

links included specialized<br />

food and drinks at each<br />

hole, courtesy of the OMYF<br />

Open’s partners and cosponsors.<br />

Golfers also had<br />

an opportunity to win overall<br />

prizes, longest-drive<br />

competitions, closest-to-thepin<br />

contests, and a hole-inone<br />

opportunity to win a<br />

one-year lease on a BMW<br />

from Fields Auto Group.<br />

Each year, the Magic<br />

gives more than $2 million<br />

to Central Florida by way<br />

of event sponsorships, donated tickets,<br />

autographed merchandise and<br />

of Commerce will hold<br />

its first Tour De Chamber —<br />

Corporate Bike Ride on<br />

Sept. 29 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.<br />

The fun, recreational 8.2-mile<br />

route includes paved sidewalks<br />

and a paved bike trail<br />

through the neighborhoods of<br />

Hamlin in Horizon West. This is<br />

a good opportunity for team building<br />

and for participants to disconnect,<br />

get out of work mode, and be<br />

active.<br />

WOCC member rates are $30<br />

per rider or $100 for a team of<br />

four. Nonmember rates are $45<br />

per rider or $175 for a team of four.<br />
