Communities
The economic and social effects of C.Vale’s operations are significant. In 2021, the
cooperative paid R$ 534 million in taxes to states and municipalities. In the case of
poultry farming, the ICMS tax is divided according to the percentage of chickens
produced in each municipality involved in the integration system. The cooperative
also assists entities that provide social assistance because it understands that
economic advances have to go hand in hand with improving the living conditions
of people, especially those who are most vulnerable.
