Celebrating the Constitution<br />
The <strong>Madison</strong> County commissioners and<br />
London Mayor Patrick Closser joined officers<br />
and members of the local chapter of<br />
Daughters of the American Revolution<br />
(DAR) on Sept. 13 to commemorate the start<br />
of Constitution Week, Sept. 17-23.<br />
To publicly recognize the 235th anniversary<br />
of the signing of the United States Constitution,<br />
the county and city dignitaries<br />
signed two proclamations, respectively, for<br />
Last full moon bike ride<br />
The Friends of <strong>Madison</strong> County Parks<br />
and Trails hosts evening bike ride in conjunction<br />
with full moons. The last full moon<br />
bike ride of the year is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9.<br />
Participants meet at Phat Daddy’s Pizza, 15<br />
E. First St., London, and choose from two<br />
routes: a 14-miles round trip to the Wilson<br />
Road trailhead and back or a 25-mile round<br />
trip to Battelle Darby Metro Park, 8465<br />
Alkire Rd., and back.<br />
<strong>Madison</strong> County and London.<br />
The proclamations encourage citizens to<br />
recognize and reaffirm the ideals of liberty<br />
and to protect guaranteed individual freedoms<br />
as established by the original framers.<br />
