Technologies Sdn Bhd to launch<br />

Malaysia’s first sustainable dog food<br />

using Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) as<br />

an alternative <strong>pro</strong>tein source.<br />

The MOU was jointly signed by Mr PY<br />

Choy, CEO of Pet World Nutritions Sdn<br />

Bhd, Ms Christine Chin, Chairman of<br />

SPCA Selangor and Mr Nick Piggott, CEO<br />

of Nutrition Technologies. They agreed<br />

to enhance collaboration, including to<br />

<strong>pro</strong>mote the use of Black Soldier Fly<br />

Larvae (BSFL) in commercial pet food, to<br />

facilitate educating the communities on<br />

the benefits of BSFL, and to support the<br />

ecosystem for sustainable future living,<br />

with a reduced carbon footprint, as well<br />

as giving back to society with this ‘Cause<br />

for the stray’ campaign.<br />

cruelty and reduce suffering. Christine<br />

Chin, the chairman of SPCA Selangor<br />

shared that SPCA has also set up the<br />

Plant-Based Campaign Unit to work on<br />

the initiatives that empower Malaysians<br />

to reduce meat consumption while<br />

in turn reducing animal suffering.<br />
