The designer, who has a<br />
background in law, is notable<br />
for mixing traditional West African<br />
fabrics with Western styles.<br />
Lisa Folawiyo’s designs have stayed relevant in the<br />
showrooms in Nigeria and New York. She is popularly<br />
known for incorporating the Ankara fabric into<br />
creative and captivating rich custom prints.<br />
Besides creating amazing designs, Lisa Folawiyo<br />
Aldo produces custom accessories such as Jewelry<br />
and purses. Her work has gained recognition from<br />
some notable celebrities, including Beyonce and<br />
Tasha Smith. Lisa Folawiyo has showcased her work<br />
in the US, UK, and South Africa and also, in the year<br />
2010, participated in both the New York fashion<br />
week and Paris fashion week. In 2012, Lisa Folawiyo<br />
won the African fashion Award and, in the same<br />
