THE LAS VEGAS ROBOTAXI
Fancy a ride in Hyundai’s Ioniq 5-based autonomous
Robotaxi? Just head down to Vegas where you can have
one pick you up via Uber or Lyft. They currently have
safety drivers on board, but in the second half of 2023,
the manufacturer plans to have these vehicles operate
on their own. FYI - although based on the Ioniq 5, the
Robotaxi is made by specialized autonomous vehicle
company Motional.
THE ALPHA MONTAGE COUPE
Alpha Motor Corporation has unveiled another head-turning car. The limited edition electric Montage Coupe will reportedly be made available
exclusively via private sale, sold as a custom-built electric vehicle. Without giving an output for the standard powertrain, Alpha says the Montage,
which resembles a modern take on classic British sports cars from the 1950s, is available with an optional electric drive unit making 201 horsepower
(150 kilowatts) and 2,640 pound-feet (3,335 Newton-meters) of torque. It also provides an estimated 402 kilometers of driving range.
The limited-production Montage Coupe is now open for applications at the Alpha Motor website. Prices start at $499,000 USD.

MERCEDES MAYBACH EQS
Mercedes-Benz has shown off the electric Maybach
EQS, an ultra-luxury concept car that shares its
platform with the electric Benz-branded EQS and
EQE sedans.
The EQS SUV’s electric powertrain will come
standard with all-wheel drive and is said to offer
around 600 km of driving range per charge.
As one can expect from a Maybach, the deluxe
interior offers luxury travel at the highest level,
including faux-fur carpeting, a flower vase, and
rose-gold trim.
The EQS SUV is expected to reach production for
