Vanderbilt Soccer Stadium offers<br />

a place for 2,400 fans to cheer on <strong>the</strong> Commodore<br />

men’s soccer, women’s soccer and<br />

women’s lacrosse teams. The $2-million facility<br />

was completed in 2002. • If your only experience<br />

with Commodore baseball was at<br />

McGugin Field, which served as baseball’s<br />

home field for 76 years, you’re in for a treat.<br />

Hawkins Field, now in its second season, is<br />

one of <strong>the</strong> finest college baseball parks in <strong>the</strong><br />

country. Hawkins Field offers a classic baseball-park<br />

atmosphere coupled with a modern<br />

design that includes 1,500 chair-back<br />

seats. • Vanderbilt Stadium, <strong>the</strong> Commodores’<br />

football home since 1981, has undergone a<br />

recent renovation, including a new $1-million<br />

natural-grass field. • Crowds still go wild<br />

at Memorial Gymnasium, home of Vanderbilt’s<br />

top-ranked men’s and women’s basketball<br />

teams. In 2002 a $25-million renovation<br />

was completed. • The Vanderbilt Track and<br />

Field Complex, which opened last April, features<br />

one of only two Mondo track surfaces<br />

in <strong>the</strong> Sou<strong>the</strong>astern Conference. The com-<br />

plex debuted with <strong>the</strong> Vanderbilt Invitational,<br />

where a number of NCAA-qualifying marks<br />

and team records were set. • For varsity tennis,<br />

<strong>the</strong> Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center<br />

is one of <strong>the</strong> finest college tennis facilities<br />

in <strong>the</strong> country and was host to <strong>the</strong> women’s<br />

NCAA Regional Tournament in 1997, 1999,<br />

2000, 2001 and 2002.<br />
