Massage Therapy Foundation and<br />
veteran-related community service<br />
projects. Since 2013, the foundation<br />
has participated in the Boston<br />
Marathon as part of John Hancock’s<br />
Marathon Non-Profit Program. MTF<br />
supports scientific research, educational<br />
resources and community<br />
service for the massage therapy<br />
profession. It has granted more than<br />
$500,000 to 90 different community<br />
service grants around the world.<br />
A seasoned triathlete,<br />
this was Jones' first Boston<br />
Marathon.<br />
Lighthouse Central<br />
Florida held its annual<br />
Sight & Sole WalkFest to<br />
raise awareness and funding<br />
for critical services<br />
helping Central Floridians<br />
living with blindness or<br />
visual impairment. The<br />
event was attended by<br />
hundreds of community<br />
members, including 14<br />
teams composed of business<br />
and community leaders<br />
from the Greater Orlando area.<br />
Representatives of the organization<br />
extend their thanks to the community<br />
and event co-sponsors for<br />
helping to surpass the fundraising<br />
goal. Through sponsorships, peer-topeer<br />
fundraising and in-kind donations,<br />
Lighthouse was able to raise<br />
$48,000 to help fund its critical vision<br />
rehabilitation programming.<br />
Community members support Lighthouse Central Florida through the organization’s annual Sight & Sole<br />
WalkFest.<br />

Flores and the Maitland Rotary<br />
Club Team.<br />
Lighthouse Central Florida provides<br />
education, independent living<br />
skills, job readiness training and<br />
coaching for people living with vision<br />
impairment or blindness. The<br />
organization is the only accredited<br />
nonprofit provider of life-changing<br />
vision rehabilitation services in<br />
Central Florida.<br />
