Kids<br />
Girls Who Code - a coding club for grades 3 - 5<br />
10 - 11 am Thursdays, <strong>June</strong> 1 - August 10 Northwest Branch <strong>Library</strong><br />
Registration required — Our 3rd-5th grade club is free to join <strong>and</strong> spans 11-weeks to<br />
develop coding skills. We will read excerpts from Learn to Code <strong>and</strong> Change the World <strong>and</strong><br />
The Friendship Code, learn how to code by completing fun <strong>and</strong> simple online coding tutorials,<br />
<strong>and</strong> build community through interactive club activities. Consistent attendance is very important.<br />
Baby Party! - for babies under 12 months <strong>and</strong> their caregivers<br />
10 - 11 am Saturdays, <strong>June</strong> 3 <strong>and</strong> <strong>July</strong> 1<br />
Buena Vista Branch<br />
Baby Party! is an informal place to read, play, explore <strong>and</strong> make new friends.<br />
Walk-ins welcome, no signups required, but space is limited.<br />
History MAKERS - for grades K-5<br />
10 - 11 am Tuesdays, <strong>June</strong> 6 & 27 <strong>and</strong> <strong>July</strong> 18 Burbank Central <strong>Library</strong><br />

Join us each week <strong>and</strong> listen to a read aloud about a not-so-well-known historical figure.<br />
Afterwards we’ll work on an activity inspired by their field of study to learn more about their<br />
jobs <strong>and</strong> the impact they had on our world. Be ready for some h<strong>and</strong>s-on STEM activities!<br />
Dress for a mess as we might be using glue, paint, markers or other messy supplies.<br />

even start preschool soon? Join us as we explore colors,<br />
shapes, <strong>and</strong> patterns with fun h<strong>and</strong>s-on activities that<br />
are easy to recreate at home using everyday objects.<br />
Mindful Yoga<br />

Yoga instructor Ligia Wills will guide participants in a<br />
mindful yoga session designed for school-age children<br />
<strong>and</strong> their families. Participants will practice breath work,<br />
kid-friendly yoga poses, <strong>and</strong> relaxation techniques.<br />
Families will be encouraged <strong>and</strong> led through group<br />
poses together as well.<br />
