When submitting the DataHub Support/MVS startup job, you might get an error
like that shown in Figure 130 on page 175 if you did not define the DataHub
Support/MVS Tool Dispatcher to VTAM by using the VTAM APPL statement.
$HASP373 STDB2AMQ STARTED - INIT 3 - CLASS A - SYS XA01
Figure 130. DataHub Support/MVS Startup Error
If you get a startup error, you have to pick up the generated APPL VTAM
definition that has been included as the EMQAPPL member of the
DATAHUB.V110.SEMQMSAM data set and include it in the VTAM definitions.
Because your OS/2 system is connecting to the MVS system or because you
want to manage RDBMSs that are located in that platform, you also need to
define the OS/2 workstation to VTAM. Please refer to Chapter 3, “DRDA
Connectivity” on page 31 for details on how to define your OS/2 workstation to
VTAM.
Please refer to 5.1, “Key Connectivity Parameters” on page 152 for the symbolic
destination name definition that has to be made to enable DataHub/2 to connect
to VTAM (SSCP) and the DataHub Support/MVS that will be accessed in the MVS
environment.
5.5 Configuring VM for DataHub Support/VM
This section presents information that will help you understand how DataHub
Support/VM works. First we briefly introduce the main components of DataHub
Support/VM and explain the main DataHub Support/VM control files you have to
set up to configure DataHub Support/VM. Then we describe how to start and
operate DataHub Support/VM. Finally we discuss a performance consideration.
5.5.1 VM/ESA Service Pool Support Facility
The DataHub Support/VM platform uses the Service Pool Support Facility of
VM/ESA. It is an efficient way of serving an environment in which host
transactions are short. Figure 131 on page 176 shows a simple Service Pool
environment with the resulting path from an APPC connection.
