1.3 Data Flow Summary<br />

When both source and target are OS/2 hosts, the DataHub/2 workstation<br />

sends the copy command to the target using TC flows. The target fetches the<br />

data from the source using RDS and inserts it into its local database.<br />

Table 1 indicates the outbound protocol used for each function initiated by the<br />

DataHub/2 workstation for the target host environment. The Copy Data and Copy<br />

Data with load functions use several data flows, so we show them in a separate<br />

table (Table 2). For example, for a copy with load from a DB2 host to an OS/2<br />

DBM host, the request is sent to the OS/2 host using the TC flows. The OS/2 host<br />

will copy and load using the DRDA flows.<br />

If you have a DDCS/2 gateway system in your environment, the data flows<br />

between the gateway and the DataHub/2 workstation are always RDS.<br />
