Human Error
Vistara, India’s leading full-service
carrier and a joint venture of Tata Sons and
Singapore Airlines, announced in June 2023
the implementation of Aerowash, an automated
aircraft exterior washing and cleaning
solution introduced by AeroTech Support
Services Pvt. Ltd.
Operated by a user friendly and wireless
remote control, Aerowash is equipped with
several safety features and alarm indicators.
Traditional aircraft washing is considered
difficult, time-consuming, risky to workers,
and most importantly, fraught with potential
errors that a robot is less likely to make.
According to a study by The International
Shooting from the Tip
Southeast Softwash LLC, a
company based in Roanoke, AL,
announced in late 2022 the release of
the company’s new titanium shooter
tip for downstreaming and a soap tip
for softwashing.
The Titanium Tall Reach Tip
(Shooter Tip) For 8-10 Gpm Anodized
Blue / Purple Finish is to be used on
on 8gpm-10gpm pressure washers or
10gpm softwash pumps. It is made
from titanium, which means its weight
is approximately 50 percent that of a
stainless steel shooter tip.
Also available is the Titanium Tall
Reach Tip (Shooter Tip) For 4-7 Gpm
Anodized Blue / Purple Finish, which is
used as a soap tip for pressure washing.
It is to be used for on 4gpm-5.5gpm
pressure washers or 5-7gpm softwash
pumps. It also makes use of titanium as
material, which means that compared
to steel, it is lightweight, strong, and
corrosion resistant.
Southeast Softwash LLC introduced
their equipment manufacturing
Air Transport Association (IATA), 26% of
airplane accidents were started off by human
error in maintenance-related overlooks.
Automatizing processes like aircraft exterior
cleaning, an important part of maintenance,
repair, and overhaul (MRO) services,
could aid in cutting down the number.
IATA showed that in 1903, in the early
days of aviation, around 80% of accidents
related to maintenance were caused by
machines. Today, however, the number has
flipped, representing the rate of human errors
instead.
Aircraft washing is done to save fuel and
ensure safety.
division in 2018 and since then, they
have evolved into the biggest turn-key
equipment provider for softwashing
in the world. The company offers
softwashing components and supplies,
including chemicals, wands/manifolds,
pumps, hoses/hose reels, tips/nozzle
holders, surface cleaners, and more.
Coty Yarbrough, Southeast
Softwash’s CEO, stated, “Our story
begins in 1987 with my dad Lane
Yarbrough. Dad began studying on
why the asphalt shingles they built
in the factory would start showing
the ugly black streaks after a few
years. Dad began experimenting with
how to clean the roofs and the first
successful roof cleaning was our own
house in 1988. Fortunately for Dad,
the factory had an on-site chemist
who was also working on this problem
and gave Dad a few suggestions on the
proper chemicals to start trying. Since
that day, we’ve completed thousands
of wash jobs and refined our processes
to perfection.”
Rollin’, Rollin’,
Rollin’…
Philadelphia-based pressure
washer Rolling Suds
announced the introduction
of franchise opportunities in
markets around the country.
Rolling Suds was founded in 1990 by Brian
Wendling Sr. and eventually became a father-duo
business with the addition of Brian Wendling Jr. as
co-owner.
Spearheading the franchising growth strategy is
Rolling Suds CEO Aaron Harper, who is also the
CEO and Founder of Franchise Overdrive.
"Currently, the power washing industry is fragmented
with companies that lack the necessary
experience to do the job right,” said Harper. “With
more than 30 years under their belt, the Wendling's
have dialed in systems and processes that allow
them to provide services better than anyone else."
The launch of the Rolling Suds franchise comes
at an opportune time, as the global home services
industry is projected to reach $1.8 billion by 2030,
a 21+% increase from 2022.
