If you are looking for assistance and/or services in the Palo Alto area, please call the Office of Human Services at 463.4906 for a list of resources. Our in person services are currently available on an appointment basis. Information & Referral The City of Palo Alto provides Information and Referral services to help you find assistance in a variety of resource areas. It includes a variety of resources for parents, caregivers and educators regarding information on child development, behavioral challenges, parenting education/support groups, nutrition, educator resources and much more. Information and referrals for Landlords, Tenants, and Homeowners (deposits, repairs, evictions, noise, privacy, fences, trees and hedges, animals). Mediation and Conciliation of Disputes between landlords, tenants, neighbors, contractors, clients, businesses, consumers, employers, employees, co-workers, and others. Why Mediation? Mediation is convenient, confidential, informal, and effective. Mediation enables the parties to resolve disputes themselves and offers an alternative to going to court or doing nothing. South Palo Alto Food Closet 670 East Meadow Drive, Room 9 Open M-F in the afternoon (by appointment, please email southpaloaltofoodcloset@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.) Provides food to low-income individuals and families in Palo Alto. Please check out their website for qualifications: www.southpaloaltofoodcloset.com Second Harvest Food Bank- Free Groceries 3990 Ventura Court. 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Twice monthly distribution (2nd & 4th Tuesday) Both a drive-thru and walk-up model available. Services include FREE Breakfast (8:30a-10:30a), FREE Lunch (12:30p-2p), bus passes, case management, classes, coffee & snacks, coin laundry, coin showers, computers & Wi--Fi, emergency utilities & rental assistance, lockers, mailbox services, permanent housing assistance, shelter referrals, and toiletries. Senior Congregate Lunch Sites Hosted by La Comida de California. A hot, three-course meal served for sit-in dining.
