Under the Hammer
The WLS team conduct weekly Monday sales of prime
lambs, prime cattle, cull ewes and cull cows, as well
as seasonal store sheep sales including store lambs,
couples and breeding ewes. With fortnightly sales of
cows and calves and store cattle the market attracts
buyers from all over the country, annually selling in
excess of 500,000 sheep and 10,000 cattle.
The team holds several large collective machinery sales
based on the Welshpool Livestock site, ideally situated
for both vendors and purchasers. It offers customers an
excellent, modern sales facility for items from chainsaws
to tractors, Including the provision of online bidding
platforms to maximise saleability for larger items.
WLS is now the base for Morris Marshall & Poole with Norman Lloyd’s dedicated rural and agricultural
hub combining the expertise of the two companies. The rural team provides specialist agricultural services,
including rural property and farmland valuations, farm and livestock sales and government subsidy services
