Some of the Vexour herd
with the Charolais working well across
native cows.
Our final stop, Highfields Park Farm
and the Chameran Herd. A recently
formed herd compared to some it was
good to meet John and Sheri Hughes.
A strong herd throughout with some
superb cows, the real stand out cow for
me was Edenhurst Jingle with a really
smart heifer calf at foot and arguably
the pick of the yearling heifers was
her calf from 2021. I found my pick
of the 2022 bull calves in the form of
Charmeran Titan. The final paddock
John and Sheri took us to was to see 5
cracking yearling heifers mostly by the
aforementioned Balthayock Muskateer.
Finally, I would like to thank the South
East Charolais Club for inviting me
judge the herd competition and for
allowing us to gate crash the club quiz
night.
