Windsurf
Babaomby, une charmante presqu’île située dans la
baie des Sakalava, sur la mer d’Emeraude, fait partie
des meilleurs spots de windsurf de Madagascar.
Cet endroit offre aux windsurfers des conditions
météorologiques idéales avec un vent transfrontalier,
aussi bien adapté aux débutants qu’aux plus
confirmés. Ses eaux calmes permettent de s’adonner
au freestyle en toute sécurité. Profitez également
des vagues de l’îlot Suarez et de Toreky, qui peuvent
aller jusqu’à trois mètres. La période idéale pour
vous y rendre s’étend d’avril à novembre, où l’alizé
souffle sans discontinuer. Et pour tous ceux qui
souhaiteraient se perfectionner, Babaomby compte
une école de Windsurf.
One of the island’s best surfing spots is Babaomby, a
charming little peninsular in the Bay of Sakalava on
the north coast, washed by the waves of the stunning
Emerald Sea. Here there are ideal meteorological
conditions with a cross shore wind, appropriate both
for beginners and for more experienced windsurfers.
The beautiful lagoon and its calm waters make it
possible to practise freestyle and foiling. Meanwhile,
the waves to the right of the small islands of Suarez and
Toreky can rise up to 3m. The ideal period to windsurf
at Babaomby is between April and November, with
constant tradewinds throughout this period. There is,
also, a specialist school at Babaomby for those wishing
to learn or improve their technique.
