Students in public, private, and home schools read books from a set list and compete throughout the school year. A year-end event celebrates accomplishments and provides students with an opportunity to meet an author or illustrator. It is estimated that 18,500 kids have participated in the previous 49 years. Music, food, raffles, train and trolley rides will go on all weekend and the Gail Borden Library Bookmobile will be there Saturday, September 30, from Noon to 5 pm.
