Confusionreignedafter the brakes
were put on traffictrying to find a
speedy exit after last month’s
Matariki fireworks display.
Drivers were leftwith no where to
go in alog jam due to roads no longer
existing, despite GoogleMaps
telling themthey did.
Many drivers complained,
demanding to know who was
responsible.
The Waimakariri District Council
beingthe first port of call, and then
Google Maps.
Google Maps was found to be out of
Drivers were often sent towards
roadsthat haven't existed for many
yearsinthe NormanKirk Park
the devastating Christchurch
