Got Talent<br />
is back!<br />
THE ELLESMERE A&P Association is<br />
proud to bring you <strong>Selwyn</strong>’s Got Talent,<br />
back bigger than ever after being absent<br />
for the last couple of years.<br />
Do you have what it takes to be<br />
<strong>Selwyn</strong>’s next superstar? Do you play an<br />
instrument, sing, act, dance, tell good<br />
jokes or even juggle? If you think you<br />
are, or just enjoy doing something you<br />
love, come along and enter because “WE<br />
WANT YOU”!<br />
Acts perform live on stage at the<br />
Ellesmere A&P Show on Saturday,<br />
October 14. Each performance is four<br />
minutes long. Entries are open now, in two<br />
sections: Junior (14 years and under, as of<br />
October 14) and Senior (15 years and over).<br />
Entries can be individual ($5 per solo act)<br />
or group ($10).<br />
There are some important aspects for<br />
talent questers to note. Performances must<br />
fit the stage size of 7m x 5m. No swearing<br />
or inappropriate aspects – this is family<br />
entertainment. Entrants must be <strong>Selwyn</strong><br />
residents and be amateur performers<br />
only. Entries are not accepted from<br />
paid professional performers, or from<br />
dance crews that already have specialist<br />
competitions available to them, such as<br />
kapa haka or jump jams.<br />
There are cash prizes on offer in each<br />
category, plus there is an overall winner<br />
who takes home their own trophy.<br />

system operator provided, although<br />
instrumentalists may bring their own<br />
amplifiers if needed.<br />
In the past, <strong>Selwyn</strong>’s Got Talent has been<br />
one of the Ellesmere A&P Show’s most<br />
popular events. Whether you’re planning<br />
to enter or planning to come and cheer<br />
the participants on their big day, it’s a very<br />
welcome return to the stage for this fun<br />
and exciting talent quest.<br />
