Welcoming Week<br />
Waimakariri District Council is looking forward to<br />
celebrating Welcoming Week (Te Wiki OManaaki)<br />
from this Friday 1September.<br />
Welcoming Week isan opportunity to celebrate<br />
our welcoming values through local events and<br />
initiatives that foster mutual understanding,<br />
stronger connections, and deeper belonging<br />
among all of us –particularly long-time residents<br />
and newcomers.<br />
This year’s theme is nau mai rā –glad you're<br />
here! Council is holding anumber ofevents in<br />
our libraries that will bring people together over<br />
acuppa and cake to meet with staff and other<br />
newcomers and find out useful information and<br />
ways to get connected.<br />

Kaiapoi East<br />

renewal) at Currie Park with anew playspace at<br />
Norman Kirk Park.<br />

Woodend and Woodend Beach<br />
Entrance Signs<br />
The Woodend-Seon Community Board are<br />
proposing new entrance signs for both Woodend<br />
and Woodend Beach and would like to hear your<br />
thoughts about the conceptual designs we have<br />
put together.<br />
There are three options being considered for both<br />
Woodend Beach and Woodend. You can find out<br />
more about the designs and where they will be<br />
placed and share your thoughts at<br />
