parents need coffee. We get a lot of
people from the Hulbert Aquatics
Center coming over when swim
meets are in town.
How many coffee mugs have you
broken in your lifetime?
I’ve got an answer that can’t
be printed, but I’ve shattered a
couple. It’s the sink! You drop one
on the divider and they shatter
everywhere. I mean nothing sets
your day off on a worse track than
burning your mouth on the first
sip of espresso, but then you start
dropping mugs!
If you weren’t running a coffee
shop, what would you be doing?
My favorite thing is community
engagement stuff that we do. I
would probably be in the nonprofit
world in some aspect. I’ve met so
many people who see a need or a
gap in some sort of social service,
and they say “Welp, I’m going to
be the one who fills that gap.” I’d
like to be a part of something like
that.
What does the good life mean to
you?
The good life means having a job
where you get to do good things for
other people, having the freedom
to spend time with loved ones,
and doing your best to elevate the
people around you. •
