through evening, they also have
welcomed home every Honor
Flight at Hector International
Airport. They travel as far west
as Jamestown, North Dakota,
and as far east as Wadena,
Minnesota, often playing for
nursing homes and senior
centers as well as at community
venues.
All band members of the
nonprofit group are unpaid
volunteers, and the band’s
concerts are always free and
open to the public. The band
operates solely through the
generosity of donations and
sponsorships. Occasionally
they make longer trips,
bringing music to St. Cloud
and Minneapolis in 2019 and
to Bismarck and Linton, North
Dakota, in 2023. They have a
trip planned to Duluth in the
fall.
Music, band members agree, is
what the good life is all about,
and they’re happy to donate
their time to bring a bit of
that good life to others in the
community. •
