Council Subsidiaries<br />
Council is a member of two regional subsidiaries established<br />
pursuant to Section 43 of the Local Government Act 1999:<br />
» EHA (Eastern Health Authority Inc)<br />
» East Waste (Eastern Waste Management Authority Inc).<br />
Subsidiary <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong>s and financial statements are<br />
provided as appendices to this document.<br />
Eastern Health Authority Inc<br />
Council is a member of EHA (Eastern Health Authority),<br />
a regional subsidiary constituted to provide a wide range<br />
of environmental health services to the Community in the<br />
eastern and inner northern suburbs of Adelaide. The<br />
constituent Councils for this subsidiary are the Cities of<br />
Campbelltown, Burnside, Norwood Payneham and St<br />
Peters, Prospect and the Town of Walkerville.<br />
Management of EHA is vested in a Board which includes<br />
representatives of the constituent Councils. Council’s<br />
representatives for the year were Cr John Kennedy until<br />
November <strong>2022</strong>, followed by Cr Matthew Noble from<br />
December <strong>2022</strong> and General Manager Community<br />
Connections, Ms Michelle Hammond (Board Member).<br />
Council makes delegations to EHA under the Environment<br />
Protection Act, the Expiation of Offences Act, the Local<br />
Government Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the South Australian<br />
Public Health Act, and the Supported Residential Facilities Act.<br />
In addition, EHA is completely responsible for the operation and<br />
enforcement of the Food Act within the City of Campbelltown.<br />
Pursuant to legislation, the <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong> and Audited<br />
Financial Statements of the Eastern Health Authority Inc are<br />
attached to this document as Appendix 2.<br />
Eastern Waste Management Authority Inc<br />
Council is a member of East Waste (Eastern Waste<br />
Management Authority Inc), a regional subsidiary<br />
constituted to undertake the kerbside collection of general<br />
waste, recyclables, green organics and at-call hard waste<br />
from properties within its area. The constituent Councils of<br />
this subsidiary are the Cities of Campbelltown, Burnside,<br />
Mitcham, Norwood Payneham and St Peters, Prospect,<br />
Adelaide Hills Council and the Town of Walkerville.<br />
Management of East Waste is vested in a Board which<br />
includes representatives of the constituent Councils.<br />
Campbelltown City Council was represented during the<br />
financial year by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Paul Di Iulio<br />
(Board Member).<br />
Pursuant to legislation, the <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong> and Audited<br />
Financial Statements of East Waste are attached to this<br />
document as Appendix 3.
