Chamber Leadership Academy<br />
is a collaborative effort, designed to create a growing<br />
leadership pool of willing and able leaders and volunteers<br />
for current and future civic, charitable, and governmental<br />
organizations in Valparaiso.<br />
Leadership is defined by influencing, motivating, and<br />
inspiring individuals to pursue a particular vision and<br />
accomplish various goals. Valpo Leadership Academy<br />
helps with that by building those skills in future leaders<br />

The Leadership Academy is far more than training. It is<br />
an opportunity for participants to find out more about<br />
themselves and learn about the different skills they have and<br />
how to implement them during their workday and beyond.<br />
Leadership Academy focuses on exposure, enrichment,<br />
and involvement. During the eight focused sessions,<br />
taking place August through November, participants are<br />
exposed to networking within the community, enriched by<br />
building confidence and motivation with involvement in the<br />
community, and engaged by connecting with community<br />
leaders and mentors, and expanding peer network.<br />
