CHAMBER FOCUS | LEADERSHIP ACADEMY 2023 FOCUS with participation in small-group discussions, skill-building exercises, and meeting with speakers and mentors during coaching sessions. Admission to the program is for Valpo Chamber members only and participants must have full support of their employers. >>CHAMBERThe Valpo Chamber Leadership Academy is a collaborative effort, designed to create a growing leadership pool of willing and able leaders and volunteers for current and future civic, charitable, and governmental organizations in Valparaiso. Leadership is defined by influencing, motivating, and inspiring individuals to pursue a particular vision and accomplish various goals. It gave me the opportunity to build community connections and the confidence I needed with community engagement. I learned more than I possibly could have imagined, and now I plan to use what I learned, in my profession.” -Morgan Nagy The Leadership Academy is far more than training. It is an opportunity for participants to find out more about themselves and learn about the different skills they have and how to implement them during their workday and beyond. Leadership Academy focuses on exposure, enrichment, and involvement. During the eight focused sessions, taking place August through November, participants are exposed to networking within the community, enriched by building confidence and motivation with involvement in the community, and engaged by connecting with community leaders and mentors, and expanding peer network.
