What is<br />

Google<br />

Consent<br />

Mode?<br />

Google Consent Mode is a<br />

technology introduced by<br />

Google to help website owners<br />

manage how Google’s services<br />

on their sites interact with<br />

users’ consent for cookies<br />

and data collection. It allows<br />

websites to run all Google’s<br />

services (such as Google<br />

Analytics, Google Ads, etc.) in a<br />

way that adjusts their behavior<br />

based on the consent status of<br />

users.<br />

Google Consent Mode V2 is a<br />

new update to the system that<br />

allows websites to read and<br />

adjust Google Tags based on a<br />

visitor’s consent preferences<br />

regarding personal advertising<br />

and analytics trackers.<br />

Why Google Consent<br />

Mode V2 is important?<br />

Previously, Google Consent<br />

Mode was optional and used<br />

to enable conversion modeling<br />

in Google AdWords. Now the<br />

situation is changing: Google<br />

Consent Mode V2 becomes<br />

mandatory for tracking<br />

anything.<br />

Advertisers and publishers<br />

have until <strong>March</strong> 2024 to make<br />

sure they have implemented<br />

all of Google’s requirements<br />

for the new consent mode.<br />

Time for action!<br />

Google Consent Mode integration is<br />

available for all domains using any<br />

of the Professional plans. All you<br />

need to do is log into the Cookie<br />

Compliance dashboard, go to<br />

Configuration -> Consent tab and<br />

enable Google Consent option.<br />
