JOHN AND Claudine
McCormick enjoyed the fruits
of their labour, taking away the
main at the 121st Southbridge
Horticultural Show.
“It has been a season of variable
weather, but the flower show
must go on as it did this year.
The entries were slightly down
on the previous show,” club secretary
Warren Greenwood said.
Greenwood said visitors were
impressed on the quality of the
flowers, vegetable and fruit, and
floral art displays.
“The artwork of the
Southbridge Primary School
children was very impressive
and a splendid backdrop to
the visitors enjoying their
Devonshire teas. Thanks to
the children for the impressive
display of sand saucers.”
