CHARTER
OPERATOR OVERVIEW
At the end of June 2023 there were 16
charter operators with five or more charter
aircraft in their fleets in the Asia-Pacific
region. In total, the 121 aircraft operated
by these 16 operators account for 41% of
the total Asia-Pacific charter fleet. In terms
of fleet size, TAG Aviation, Phenix Jet, and
Australian Corporate Jet Centres (ACJC) are
the only three charter operators with more
than ten aircraft in their fleet. Nine of the top
operators have charter fleets ranging from
five to six aircraft.
Both Phenix Jet and TAG Aviation had 14
aircraft available for charter positioning
them at a shared top rank. TAG Aviation
had increased its fleet three aircraft thanks
to a number of additions and role changes.
Notably, TAG Aviation’s charter fleet has
young average age of just 6.6 years, which
offers a more comfortable passenger
experience with modern equipment and
cabin amenities. Phenix Jet also added one
business jet for charter operations. TAG
Aviation and Phenix Jet have a high degree
of similarity in their fleet composition,
primarily consisting of Long Range business
jets, with 12 and 11 aircraft, respectively.
Bombardier and Gulfstream are the
most used OEMs (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) by both operators, with the majority of their charter
fleets comprised of aircraft from these manufacturers.
In contrast to Phenix Jet and TAG, which both added aircraft to their
fleets, ACJC, which came third on the list, saw a slight decrease in
