ISLAND RIBS<br />
The Island 10m is an outstanding craft. “It is neither over-engineered<br />

Issue 188, March <strong>2024</strong>. Launched at the Southampton International<br />
Boat Show 2023, British boatbuilder Island RIBs’ 10m model is the most<br />
recent addition to their range. The Island 10m a high-performance utility<br />
RIB well suited to chase boat applications and ideal for the serious<br />
recreational owner wanting to explore further afield. The exceptionally<br />
sea-kind, efficient hull and outstanding range make the Island 10m<br />
ideally suited to those looking for a RIB that can take them further, faster,<br />
while remaining dry and comfortable. The spacious deck provides a<br />
stable platform and allows for easy crew and equipment transport and<br />
transfers at sea. The Island 10m can be manufactured with a generous<br />
console cuddy, fitted with single or V berth and sea heads, and offering<br />
plenty of dry stowage for equipment. All deck configurations provide for<br />
easy access forward via the side decks. Aft deck furniture is designed<br />
to be removable, offering great flexibility to carry either passengers or<br />
cargo as required. The Island 10m has been fully independently verified<br />
and type tested for conformity to the RCD (Category B) and can be MCA<br />
coded to Category 3. At the workshops in Cowes on the Isle of Wight<br />
they design and manufacture rigid inflatable boats from 6.8m to 10m in<br />
length. The RIBs are known for their excellent sea-keeping, predictable<br />
handling, soft ride and high standard of finish. All laminating, engineering<br />
and boat assembly is carried out in-house on a single site, allowing them<br />
to retain complete control of your build from design to delivery. They<br />
welcome visitors to their workshops by appointment.<br />
