Nemours Mansion & Gardens
& Luncheon at The Moshulu

Start your adventure today on board the Moshulu, the largest
four-mast sailing ship in the world. Converted into a floating
restaurant, the Moshulu is permanently docked at Philadelphia’s
Penn’s Landing. Relax and enjoy the fellowship of friends old
and new as you are served a delicious luncheon in the unique
atmosphere of the ships Orchid Room. A special tasty dessert
finishes off your meal! Please provide a meal choice when
making your reservations. Your choices are Chicken Breast,
Pan Roasted Tilapia, or Braised Beef Short Ribs. Next
we depart for the Nemours Mansion & Gardens, a 300 acre
country estate of the late industrialist and philanthropist Alfred
I. duPont. A fine example of a French chateau in the style of
Louis XVIth, the mansion was started in 1909 and completed
in 1910. The 47,000 square foot mansion looms over the
surrounding formal gardens and is furnished with fine antiques,
famous works of art, beautiful tapestries, and other treasures.
Included are a guided tour through a series of rooms on
three floors, followed by a bus tour through the gardens and
surrounding grounds. The grounds surrounding the mansion
extend for one third of a mile along the main vista from the
house, and are among the finest examples of French-style

gardens in the United States. The tour will conclude with a visit
to the chauffeurs garage where the family’s antique cars are

We begin our adventure in Annapolis, Maryland aboard the
Discover Annapolis Trolley for a narrated tour of historic
Annapolis. The tour will highlight the history and exterior
architecture of many of the famous buildings which are part
of Maryland’s capital city. Great water views are part of the
tour as we will cross three of Annapolis’s bridges and make a
stop at the Severn River Overlook. Following our tour relax
and enjoy the fellowship of friends old and new while dining
on a delicious buffet lunch at the Old Country Buffet. Next
we climb aboard the Harbor Queen for a narrated cruise of
the historic Annapolis Harbor and the United States Naval
Academy waterfront. Catch a glimpse of the Bay Bridges as
