JUNE 5, 2012<br />

CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE<br />

President LeClercq called the meeting to order at 7:06p.m.; <strong>and</strong> led the Pledge of Allegiance<br />

to the Flag of the United States of America.<br />

ROLL CALL<br />

Physically present: President LeClercq; Trustees: Tony Giles, Gail Johnson, Jeff Lawson,<br />

Terry Michels, Judy Sollinger, <strong>and</strong> Scott Volpe.<br />

Staff Present: Steve Jones, Village Administrator; Jeanne Hester, Village Clerk; Jerry<br />

Weaver, Public Works Director; Dwight Baird, Chief of Police; Rod Zenner, Community<br />

Development Director; Michele Bergeron, Community Relations Manager; Ann Spears, HR<br />

Director; Patty Lariviere, Building <strong>and</strong> Zoning Manager; Brian Schiber, Village Engineer;<br />

<strong>and</strong> Karl Ottosen <strong>and</strong> Tim Hoppa Village Attorneys.<br />

President LeClercq welcomed new Village Administrator, Steve Jones.<br />

RECOGNITIONS / APPOINTMENTS<br />

<strong>1.</strong> Girl Scout Gold Award <strong>and</strong> Downtown Planter Project<br />

• Annika Mikkelson<br />

• Elaine Eggert<br />

Annika Mikkelson <strong>and</strong> Elaine Eggert were recognized for achieving the Girl Scout<br />

Gold Award which is the highest award that a Girl Scout can achieve. Ms.<br />

Mikkleson’s project was the painting <strong>and</strong> planting of the downtown flower pots; Ms.<br />

Eggert organized a holiday music program for the Senior Center.<br />

2. Rotary Club – Presentation of Annual Gazebo Payment<br />

Brian Schiber, on behalf of the Rotary Club, presented the annual installment<br />

payment to the Village for the cost of the gazebo located at Village Hall. President<br />

LeClercq noted that the cooperation of the Village <strong>and</strong> Rotary is an example of a<br />

good public/private partnership.<br />

3. Employee <strong>Service</strong> Awards<br />

• John Mall, 15 Years of <strong>Service</strong><br />

• Robert Sherwood, 15 Years of <strong>Service</strong><br />

• Patrick Doud, 5 Years of <strong>Service</strong><br />

• Shane Yackley, 5 Years of <strong>Service</strong><br />

All employees were recognized for their years of service to the Village; each<br />

received a certificate <strong>and</strong> gift. Sgt. Yackley was present to receive his recognition.<br />

Chief Baird gave a brief bio of Sgt. Yackley.<br />

4. Character Counts Awards<br />
