Degrees and diplomas<br />

Entrance requirements<br />

All degree and diploma courses commence from post sixth form level.<br />

Students at fifth form level may be eligible to enter preliminary year courses <strong>of</strong>fered<br />

by the <strong>Swinburne</strong> Technical College.<br />

To be eligible to enter the first year <strong>of</strong> any degree or diploma course applicants<br />

must have successfully completed sixth form year or its equivalent, or the preliminary<br />

year at the <strong>Swinburne</strong> Technical College.<br />

Full-time<br />

First year<br />

All applications for entry to full-time study at the fist year level, except those from<br />

students who undertook the preliminary year at <strong>Swinburne</strong> Technical College in 1975,<br />

must be made through the Victorian Universities Admissions Committee, 11 Queens<br />

Road, Melbourne, 3004.<br />

Applications must be made on the appropriate form.<br />

Form 'N' is only for the use <strong>of</strong> students currently undertaking full-time study for the<br />

Higher School Certificate. Special application forms are being distributed to all secondary<br />

schools, as are copies <strong>of</strong> the VUAC publication 'Guide for prospective 1976 students'<br />

which outlines the procedure to be followed.<br />

Form 'E' is to be used by all applicants not currently enrolled for the Higher School<br />

Certificate and, together with the 'Guide for prospective 1976 students', may be<br />

obtained from the <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> VUAC.<br />

The closing date for all applications is 31 October 1975. In all cases the application forms<br />

must be sent directly to VUAC and not to the college.<br />

Second year and highel<br />

Applications should be made directly to the college and not through VUAC. Application<br />

forms can be obtained from the college admissions <strong>of</strong>ficer, Mr S. C. Reid, 819 8386.<br />

All applications must be received at the college by:<br />

Applied science 30 January 1976<br />

Art** 30 January 1976<br />

Arts 28 November 1975 *<br />

Business 30 January 1976<br />

Engineering 30 January 1976<br />

* late applications may be considered<br />

** no part-time places available.<br />

Part-time<br />

All applications for enrolment in part-time courses must be made directly to the college<br />

by these dates:<br />

Arts 28 November 1975<br />

Business 30 January 1976<br />

Applied science 30 January 1976<br />

Engineering 30 January 1976<br />

No places will be available for part-time courses in Art.<br />
