SKIRMISH MODE<br />
In skirmish mode, units avoid hand-to-hand combat with the enemy<br />
by retreating to a safe firing distance. Light infantry units begin<br />
with w skirmish mode turned on.<br />
GUARD MODE<br />
Guard mode instructs units to fight defensively. <strong>The</strong>y will try<br />
to maintain their formation when attacked, and won’t pursue<br />
the enemy.<br />
FIRE AT WILL<br />
<strong>The</strong> T fire at will button toggles fire at will for the selected troops<br />
instructing them to open fire on any target within range.<br />
WITHDRAW<br />
W<br />
Orders selected units to retreat from the field in an orderly manner.<br />
Click again to cancel.<br />
SPECIAL ABILITIES<br />
T<strong>The</strong>re<br />
are several special abilities buttons (including skirmish mode<br />
illustrated here) that enable special formations, ammo types or<br />
abilities that a selected unit has available to it.<br />
