Prior to watching the senior kitted
team fall to the London Blitz in the
National Title game for the second
year running, the Coventry Jets’
Junior Flag team captured their own
British Championship defeating the
Blitz 32-24 at Worcester’s Sixways
Stadium. The jets twin quarterback
threat of Tom Clancy and AJ Mepstead
gave their opponents a headache with
their contrasting styles. The elusive
Clancy finding time for his receivers
to get open, whilst the strong armed
Mepstead would hook up deep with
HAnnAH russell-yArde in ACtion AgAinst tHe london blitz.

Josh Keys starred as a possession
receiver with two touchdown scores.
Hannah Russell-Yarde and Brad
Bowers made the defence look like
they were chasing shadows with
some dazzling runs after the catch.
Defensively, rookie Tee Nguyen kept
the opposition quarterbacks under
pressure as she consistently forced
them to roll to their unfavoured left.
Stephen Pinks, left it all out on the
field leading a defence that swarmed
to the ball every time an opponent
