secured a memorable victory.
In order to qualify for the final on the
stadium’s main pitch the Jets would
first have to negotiate a tie against
the Coventry Cougars on one of
the outside fields. In the semi final
the heavily favoured Jets were held
scoreless as their offence misfired.
Fortunately the defence started
magnificently and the score at half
time was 0-0. After the break the Jets’

After the game jubilant Head Coach
Andrew Gambrill was full of praise for
all involved. “Coaches Stamford and
Clancy did a fantastic job with their
play calling. The real credit though
goes to the youngsters who played
brilliantly and were totally unfazed
by playing in front of a crowd in a
stadium. This is a real landmark for the
club, but already the players are talking
about next year’s championship.”
The Jets will continue with their

winter training this Sunday 2-4pm at
the Memorial Park and intend to play
in monthly tournaments until next
