worked for Brunel but<br />
is best remembered as a<br />

a theory of natural selection,<br />

Applied mathematics to<br />

devised Millers Indices for the<br />

manufactur<strong>in</strong>g. He devised a<br />
mach<strong>in</strong>e to accurately punch<br />
holes <strong>in</strong> the iron plates for<br />
the Conway tubular bridge<br />
