Itinerary:<br />
Day 1 - Local departure: travel via<br />
ferry/Eurotunnel to our overnight<br />
‘stopover’ hotel.<br />
Day 2 - Continue across Germany to<br />
reach Berlin. Here we have<br />
accommodation reserved at the 4*<br />
Mercure Berlin Templehof. All rooms<br />
have private facilities and features<br />
include a spacious bar and<br />
restaurant. An underground station<br />
is close by with easy access to<br />
central Berlin.<br />
Day 3 - Today we have a full day<br />
exploring the Christmas markets of<br />
Berlin. One of the most popular<br />
markets is located next to Kaiser<br />
Willhelm Memorial Church, amidst<br />
the bustling shoppers on the High<br />
Street between the Kurfustendamm<br />
and Tauenzien.<br />
Day 4 - Today we visit Potsdam.<br />
There are 5 Christmas markets<br />
around the city - the favourite being<br />
in old Potsdam, close to the<br />
Sanssouci Palace.<br />
Day 5 - Today we have included a<br />
visit to Dresden. The Christmas<br />
market, traditionally called<br />
Striezelmarkt and is Germany’s<br />
oldest Christmas market dating back<br />
to 1434. Its name derives from a<br />
sweet delicacy which has become<br />
known as the ‘Dresden Christollen’,<br />
(German Christmas cake).<br />
Day 6 - <strong>Travel</strong> to our overnight<br />
‘stopover’ hotel.<br />

Freiburg Christmas Market<br />
Black Forest<br />
Christmas Market with FREE BAR<br />
Experience for yourself the charm of<br />
the Black Forest with its ‘fairytale’<br />
countryside, deep forests, winding<br />
rivers, rolling hills, pretty villages,<br />
friendly shopkeepers and cuckoo<br />
clock makers.<br />
We start with a local departure for<br />
our journey via France to the Black<br />
Forest area. We will arrive during<br />
the mid to late evening. Due to late<br />
arrival at the hotel dinner is not<br />
included tonight. Accommodation<br />
has been reserved for 3 nights at a<br />
comfortable hotel such as the Hotel<br />
Schondelgrund in Hornberg, (or<br />
similar). All hotels have rooms with<br />
private facilities, bar and dining<br />
room. To round things off on nights<br />
2 and 3 there is a free bar with beer,<br />
red or white wine or soft drinks<br />
between 8.30pm and 10.30pm.<br />
Please Note: Spirits, champagne,<br />
bottled beer, cocktails etc are not<br />
included and are charged extra.<br />
One drink per person, per visit to the<br />
bar only.<br />
On day 2 we take you to the Black<br />
Forest town of Freiburg. Here you<br />
can explore the market and shops.<br />
We then cross the border to<br />
Switzerland and arrive at the<br />
charming town of Basle. Enjoy the<br />
elegant boutiques and lively bars of<br />
the well preserved old town and, of<br />
course, the Christmas market<br />
On day 3 we have included a Black<br />
Forest panorama excursion taking in<br />
many of the highlights of the region.<br />
We will take you through deep<br />
wooded valleys and picture postcard<br />
villages to the very heart of the<br />
region, pausing at Triberg, known for<br />
its splendid waterfalls, before<br />
enjoying a scenic drive to<br />
Hintezarten. In the afternoon we<br />
stop at the beautiful lakeside town of<br />
Titisee<br />
