Christmas time in Germany is
always special. The magnificent city
of Cologne offers 6 markets in total
with the market at the cathedral
being the most impressive. Plus
there is a free bar during each night
of your stay!
Your Itinerary:
Day 1 - we start with a local
departure and head for the Channel
port for the short sea crossing to the
Continent. After clearing Customs
formalities, we continue our journey
to the Rhine / Moselle Valleys area.
Here the next 3 nights
accommodation has been reserved
on a dinner, bed and Continental
breakfast basis in rooms with private
facilities. To round things off there is
a free bar’ each night with draught
beer, red or white wine, or soft drinks
between 8.30pm and 11pm. Please
Note: Spirits, champagne, bottled
beer, cocktails etc are not included
and are charged extra. One drink
per person, per visit to the bar only.
Day 2 – a full day visit to the
magnificent city of Cologne which
offers 6 Christmas markets in total.
Among them are 4 big Christmas
markets – at the Cologne Cathedral,

on the Alter Markt, on the Neumarkt
and on the Rudolfplatz. The market
at the Cologne Cathedral is the most
impressive one of Cologne’s
Christmas markets due to the
backdrop of the imposing Cathedral.
During the late afternoon we rejoin
the coach and make our way back to
the hotel.
Day 3 – today you can either relax at
the hotel and explore the local
surroundings or, alternatively, you
can join our optional excursion to
the Moselle Christmas Markets
including Cochem and Bernkastel.

Day 4 - After breakfast check out of
the hotel and commence our journey
home.

Please Note:
1) If coach arrives late at the hotel on day 1
and some of the ‘free bar’ time is missed,
there will be no compensation or refunds
due.
2) Minimum of 20 passengers is required to
operate the optional excursion. If
excursion is cancelled a refund of the
excursion price only will be made. No
additional compensation will be payable.
3) The Christmas markets as detailed are
subject to Tourist Board provision and no
compensation is payable for any reason
whatsoever if the markets are not
operating at the time of our visit or any of
the attractions mentioned herein are
withdrawn without prior notice.

German Christmas Markets
Christmas market time in Germany is
always special. You can soak up the
unrivalled seasonal spirit in some of
Germany’s enchanting and appealing
riverside towns and villages, with
festive traditions dating back to the
12 th century on our special tour.
We start with a local departure for our
journey to the Rhine / Moselle Valley.
Here we have 3 nights bed and
breakfast accommodation booked at
a friendly, family run hotel in the area.
All rooms have private facilities.
Please Note – Bedrooms may be
located in buildings / annexes
separate from the restaurant and bar.
The actual hotel name will be
confirmed with final joining
instructions approximately 7 days
prior to departure.
On day 2 we have included an
excursion to 2 Rhine or Moselle
Christmas markets – either in
Bernkastel, Trier, Koblenz or
Cochem. You can explore the many
decorated stalls piled high with toys,
crafts and souvenirs. Christmas
markets to be visited will be notified
in the joining instructions.
As well you can join this further
optional excursion Rudesheim and
the Rhine Gorge. Visit Boppard or St
Goar, before continuing along the
picture postcard Rhine Gorge to the
famous Lorelei Rock and then on to
the celebrated village of Rudesheim.
