Your Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart from your local area
by coach in the morning and travel
via the motorway network to Dover
for the short sea crossing. Aboard
the ferry you will have the opportunity
to do some shopping or take a
breath of sea air. After clearing
Customs formalities, we continue our
journey to France / Germany where
we have overnight accommodation
reserved.
Day 2 - Depart after breakfast and
continue our journey to Austria and
commence the climb into the
wonderfully scenic mountains,
arriving at our hotel – the 3*
Wiesbauer, during the evening. The
Wiesbauer is located close to the
centre of St Wolfgang. Due to its
location on a hill it is not suitable for

the less mobile. All rooms have
private facilities and there is a bar
and small lounge.
Day 3 - Christmas Eve - Today we
have a full day visit to Salzburg –
steeped in history and the birthplace
of Mozart, probably best known in
recent times as the city on which the
‘Sound of Music’ was based.
Day 4 - Christmas Day – After
breakfast, the morning is at leisure
for you to sample and experience the
atmosphere of an Austrian
Christmas. There is a chance to join
our optional horse drawn sleigh ride
through some beautiful wintery
landscapes - a perfect Christmas
treat. Price: £20 pp. In the evening
the festive celebrations continue with
a traditional Christmas dinner at your
hotel.
Day 5 - Boxing Day - After a
leisurely breakfast the morning is at
leisure and in the afternoon we have
a short tour of the famous lakes
taking in Mondsee, Attersee and
Traunsee.
Day 6 - Today we have arranged an
optional excursion to Innsbruck,
returning via the old town of
Rattenburg. Price: £15 per person
Day 7 - We bid a fond farewell to
Austria and head north to France /
Germany for our overnight hotel stay.
Day 8 - Continue our journey home,
arriving back later on.

Day 1 - Depart from your local area

Day 2 - Depart after breakfast and
continue our journey to Austria. We
commence the climb into the
mountains, arriving at our hotel
during the evening. Accommodation
has been reserved at a 3* standard
hotel in the Kitzbuhel Alps area on a
dinner, bed and breakfast basis
Day 3 - Christmas Eve. Today we
visit the historic city of Salzburg.

Day 4 - Christmas Day. Today we
visit the lakeside village of Zell am
See. We have included a trip on a
nostalgic train ride on a narrow
gauge pinzgau steam train through
the mountains to Mitersill. Later we
spend time in Kitzbuhel with its
picturesque walled old town centre.
Traditional Christmas dinner at the
hotel.
Day 5 - Boxing Day. Today we take
you to join a ride on the narrow
gauge steam railway in the Ziller
Valley. The journey is leisurely and
takes in delightful scenery between
Fugen and the ski resort of
Mayrhofen. As well you can join a
traditional horse and carriage ride
through local countryside - £20 per
person/
Day 6 - Bid a fond farewell to Austria
and head back to France / Germany
for our overnight stay.
Day 7 - Continue our journey home
arriving back later on.
