crystals appear to be eroded, although they were not treated <strong>for</strong> demineralization, bit rather isolated with the<br />

usual techniques mentioned in the text. They definitely are bizarre. 2-5. Isolated styloids from the leaf <strong>of</strong> Iris.<br />

Each styloid crystal is a twin. Note the reentrant angles more visible in 4 and 5. Bar equals 1 micron.<br />
