Single-Layer
Tripan, WF: The all-round casing for cooked sausage and
jellied meats.
Special mechanical strength offers extremely
uniform calibre, especially for sliced goods.
Betan: Ideal for portions.
Optan-LF: Excellent performance in cutting and peeling,
especially for sliced goods served over the counter.
Viscofan Smoke, These new smokeable straight and curved plastic
Viscofan Smoke-KD: casings perform with excellent permeability of
smoke, good barrier properties and a minimum of
weight loss. For smoked cooked sausages.
Multi-Layer
F2: For unsmoked cooked sausages with a long shelf
life.
F2-Slice: Multi-layer casing for sliced goods.
F9-T-KD: Curved multi-layer casings for unsmoked cooked
sausages.
SH2: For cooked hams, sectioned and formed meat,
sandwich ham and moulded products.
NG3: Ideal for packing bone-in and boneless fresh meat,
coarsely seasoned meat and raw cured products
with a hard surface matured over a long period.

Processing
Soaking
Tripan, WF: Soak for at least 30 minutes by fully immersing in
lukewarm water (20°C to 30°C).
Betan, Optan-LF: Soak for at least 30 minutes by fully immersing in
cold water (10°C to 20°C).
Viscofan Smoke,
Viscofan Smoke-KD: Process without prior soaking. Dry fillable.
F2: Soak for 60 minutes by fully immersing in
lukewarm water (20°C to 30°C). F2 is available in
ready to stuff shirring as well.
F2-Slice: Process without prior soaking. Dry fillable.
F9-T-KD : Soaking not necessary under certain stuffing con-
ditions. Otherwise soak in cold water for 30 minutes
(strand: 60 minutes).
SH2: Process without prior soaking. Dry fillable.
NG3: Process without prior soaking. Dry fillable.
Stuffing
Fill air-free to the recommended filling diameter. Underfill air-free for
moulds. Tripan can also be delivered pre-stuck.
Sealing
Clip or tie product when firmly filled. Make sure that you are using
the correct clip size and machine adjustment. Strong in clipping for
all systems.
Cooling
Interval showering (no danger of breakages), in water bath, or air dry.
Smoking (Viscofan Smoke, Viscofan Smoke-KD)
All standard smoking and cooking systems can be used.

Prints All plastic casings can be printed in up to 8 colours on both sides.
Product Finishes We offer our casings in a wide variety of finishes (reels, cut pieces,
shirred strands) which are tailored for all levels of requirement.
They ensure optimum processing on all filling systems.
Profitability Our plastic casings are also number one in profitable processing.
Water can be saved after cooking by interval-showering or
air-cooling.
Ready to stuff Many of our plastic casings can be delivered ready to stuff. This
saves you the extra step of soaking the casings prior to filling.
Shelf Life With the right heat treatment, products in multi-layer casings from
Viscofan have a shelf-life of up to 6 months.
Shrink Many of our plastic casings are highly shrinkable, ensuring you a
wrinkle-free finished product.
Sliced Goods The market for sliced goods is growing by the day.
Viscofan mono- and multilayer casings are perfect for products
in this application.
