Concealed Hinges
300 - Grass
Which hinge type?
Sample
• Opening angle 110°
• Side panel thickness: 19 mm
• Door thickness: 19 mm
• Tab spacing e.g. 4 mm (variable)
• Gap e.g. 5 mm (variable)
The minimum gap is determined by the door
thickness and the cup spacing.
Answer - here 1.8 mm - can be found in
the table on each hinge page.
Example: minimum gap table of 110° hinge
Minimum gap F: The required minimum gap depends on the given door thickness and cup spacing (Tab).
Door thickness in mm 16 17 18 19 20 21
Tab in mm 3.0 1.1 1.3 1.6 1.9 3.6 5.4
3.5 1.1 1.3 1.6 1.9 3.1 4.9
4.0 1.1 1.3 1.6 1.8 2.6 4.4
4.5 1.0 1.3 1.5 1.8 2.1 3.9
The above dimensions (or greater as for example 5 mm) should be used for gap F.
Door Door
There is no general answer to the question of how many hinges to use per door.
The deciding factors here are the dimensions of the doors and the resulting
weight. In case of doubt (for doors with mirrors or exceptionally wide doors) a
trial mounting is recommended. Avoid doors which are wider than they are tall.
For normal doors made of conventional materials, the adjacent table can be
used to aid your decision. If in doubt, allow for an extra hinge.
If there is no mounting plate with the required reinforcement, then the tab or gap must be altered.
