nurse aide Program<br />
The Nurse Aide Program is an intensive 128 hour course which is an excellent<br />
starting point in the healthcare field. This program prepares the participant<br />
with the entry level skills needed to take the National Nurse Aide<br />
Assessment Program Competency Examination (NNAAP) for placement on<br />
the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry and begin a successful career as a<br />
Nurse Aide in a long term care facility, hospital or other healthcare setting.<br />
The course consists of classroom instruction, skills laboratory and clinical<br />
experience in nursing facilities in the community.<br />
Prerequisites: You must be at least 18 years old to take this class. Pennsylvania State<br />
criminal background check, high school diploma or GED, a physical examination,<br />
2-Step TB test, and personal health insurance are required. In addition, if you have<br />
not lived in PA for the past 2 consecutive years, you will be required to have an FBI<br />
background check.<br />
