Fontaine, James Suffrein.
Family history, 1827. 2 volumes
Manuscript of "A History of the Family of the Fontaines,” by the Reverend James Fontaine, a
protestant minister in France, who being persecuted for his religion, fled to England and later
settled in Ireland where he wrote these memoirs in French. Translated into English in 1822 by
James Fontaine, a descendant of the author. Volume 1 is in French with English translation.
Volume 2 is a copy "written by Ann Maury, great-great granddaughter of this author commenced
4th June 1827."
