About <strong>DyStar</strong> Group<br />
<strong>DyStar</strong> Group, a privately held company, is a global market leader in<br />
dyes, dye solutions, performance chemicals, new technologies and<br />
custom-manufacturer of special dyes and pigments. <strong>DyStar</strong> has a<br />
legacy of over 100 years of both product and application innovation<br />
as a coloration specialist for <strong>the</strong> textile industry. <strong>DyStar</strong> offers customers a<br />
full range of dyes, auxiliaries and services around <strong>the</strong> world. We provide<br />
products and services across <strong>the</strong> whole value chain in numerous<br />
industrial sectors including apparel, hosiery, automotive, carpets,<br />
lea<strong>the</strong>r, home textiles, and industrial fabrics.<br />
<strong>DyStar</strong> started as a joint venture in 1995 between two leading textiles<br />
dyes companies Bayer AG Textile dyes division and Hoechst AG Textile<br />
dyes division. In 2000, BASF AG Textile Dyes merged into <strong>DyStar</strong>.<br />
The Group <strong>the</strong>n embarked on an impressive expansion by strategic<br />
acquisitions that were pivotal in transforming <strong>the</strong> company into a<br />
solution provider, offering Brands, Retailers and <strong>the</strong>ir Industry Partners<br />
a complete range of colors, chemicals and services.<br />
In 2002, <strong>DyStar</strong> acquired Color Solutions Inc. followed by <strong>the</strong> acquisition<br />
of Yorkshire America Inc. in 2004. <strong>DyStar</strong> continued to acquire more<br />
companies to grow in strategic market segments. This included <strong>the</strong><br />
acquisitions of Rotta Group in 2005, Boehme Group in 2006 and Texanlab<br />
in 2007. In February 2010, India-based Kiri Dyes and Chemicals Limited<br />
and China-based Longsheng Group jointly acquired assets of <strong>DyStar</strong><br />
Group out of insolvency. With this acquisition, <strong>DyStar</strong> Group shifted its<br />
business focus towards Asia and established itself in Singapore.<br />
<strong>DyStar</strong> Global Holdings (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a special purpose vehicle<br />
company jointly owned by Well Prospering Limited, a subsidiary of<br />
Zhejiang Longsheng Co. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of dyes in China,<br />
and India’s Kiri Industries Limited, now owns <strong>DyStar</strong> Group.<br />
In 2011, <strong>DyStar</strong> Group operated 16 production plants in 14 countries<br />
including Germany, Turkey, Portugal, USA, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa,<br />
Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, China, and India. With 38 offices around <strong>the</strong><br />

world, <strong>DyStar</strong> employs over 2,400 people and has a marketing<br />
network in more than 50 countries. In September 2011, we closed<br />
down <strong>the</strong> Leverkusen site in Germany in an ongoing program to<br />
improve operational efficiencies and optimise utilization of resources.<br />
Products previously manufactured at this plant have been moved to<br />
<strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>DyStar</strong> sites.<br />
Today, <strong>DyStar</strong>’s vision is “To become <strong>the</strong> world’s most sustainable and<br />
responsible supplier of colors, chemicals and services to <strong>the</strong> global<br />
